Tulip Grove Mansion @ The Hermitage
Event Re-Cap
One of our favorite couples and families! Kellie wanted an elegant, timeless wedding reception. The Tulip Grove Mansion venue presents challenges because of size, limited electricity and limited A/C (in September!). The evening started with an open bar– The Bride’s signature drink was a Moscow Mule and the Groom’s was a classic Manhattan with Buffalo Trace bourbon, so you know he and Eleni bonded instantly 😉
Service began with butler-passed hors d’oeuvres while the guests waited for the wedding party to join them. At the appointed time, guests sat down to enjoy the pre-set salad and then enjoyed the dual entrée main course.
What guests didn’t know is that we experienced a major equipment failure in the back of the house! Our rented convections and hot boxes did not work properly. Liberty Party Rental was great and sent out grills and replacement ovens on the fly. The owner, Bruce, stayed in trenches with us and made sure all the guests were fed. The food was hot and delicious and guests no idea how we were all sweating and praying in the back. It takes a village! The evening gave way to cake and dancing and a great time was had by all.
